Welcome back, folks!

Today we're going to talk about something near and dear to our hearts....and you'll get a peek at one of Linette's obsessions (There are many. lol).

Today we're going to talk a little bit about Harry Chapin and his music, specifically two songs that mean a lot to both Skip and Linette.

Our main focus today will be the real life story behind Chapin's hit, 30,000 pounds of bananas, and some of the controversy (and our opinion) surrounding its release.

Before listening, it may be helpful to familiarize yourself with Chapin's work, specifically the song. below are links to the studio version and one of his live versions from his concert. After you listen to the episode, feel free to listen to the song again and see if your feelings have changed on the matter

The studio version, from the album Verities and Balderdash:
